June 2 — Republic Day
On the occasion of Republic Day and the eightieth anniversary of the birth of the Italian Republic, the Ercolano Archaeological Park is participating in the initiative promoted by the Ministry of Culture, which provides free admission to all state museums and archaeological parks. A day to celebrate the founding values of our democracy through the cultural heritage that embodies them.
7 giugno — #domenicamuseo
The first Sunday in June coincides with the monthly #domenicamuseo event, the Ministry of Culture’s initiative that offers free admission to state cultural sites on the first Sunday of every month. This is an additional opportunity for families, tourists, and ancient history enthusiasts to discover or rediscover the exceptional UNESCO site of Herculaneum.
Two events, two free admissions: June remains an ideal month to visit the Herculaneum Park. The site offers a unique experience: houses, furnishings, everyday objects, and human remains vividly convey the life of a Roman city at the moment of its sudden end, offering an unparalleled journey into the past.
