Free admission for Komen donors throughout October, and for participants in the Naples Race for the Cure during the weekend of October 9–11.
To mark “International Prevention Month,” promoted by Komen Italia, the Archaeological Park of Herculaneum is renewing its participation in the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Culture and Susan G. Komen Italia, thereby confirming its support for the 2026 campaign “Prevention is Our Masterpiece,” which is dedicated to raising awareness about breast cancer.
Throughout October 2026, the Herculaneum Archaeological Park will offer free admission—one entry per person—to all Komen donors who present valid accreditation. This initiative is part of the broader “Carovana della Prevenzione” (Prevention Caravan) program by Komen Italia, which will visit numerous Italian cities during the autumn of 2026, offering primary and secondary prevention activities, educational initiatives, and events dedicated to raising awareness and funds.
Free admission to the Park will also be reserved—on Friday, October 9, Saturday, October 10, and Sunday, October 11, 2026—for participants in the Race for the Cure. This awareness-raising event taking place in Naples that weekend is one of the stops on a national tour that also includes Bologna, Brescia, Matera, Milan, Parma, L’Aquila, Pescara, Salerno, Taranto, Reggio Calabria, and Rome.
An opportunity that extends to everyone for a day: while Komen donors enjoy free admission throughout October, Sunday, October 4th, sees the return of #domenicalmuseo—an initiative by the Ministry of Culture that opens state-run cultural sites across Italy (including the Archaeological Park of Herculaneum) to the public for free, thereby offering every visitor the same chance of free entry.
With this participation, the Archaeological Park of Herculaneum joins the network of state cultural institutions and sites involved in the nationwide initiative, reaffirming the Ministry of Culture’s commitment—alongside Komen Italia—to promoting prevention and women’s health.
