The overall figure of visitors counted by the Herculaneum Archaeological Park confirms a significant increase in attendance in 2025 compared to the previous year. In 2024, there were 521,426 visitors, while in 2025, admissions reached 553,611, registering an absolute increase of 32,185 admissions, or a growth of 6.2 percent. The figure includes, among other things, the public who visited the exhibition “From Egg to Apples. The civilization of food and the pleasures of the table in Herculaneum,” hosted at Villa Campolieto.
This positive result is part of the path outlined over time by the mission of the Archaeological Park of Herculaneum, which has helped consolidate its consensus locally, nationally and internationally, strengthening its attractiveness and role in the cultural and tourist scene, thanks in part to the expansion of its cultural offerings to include the scenic Villa Sora in Torre del Greco.
Regarding the period December 23-January 6, the comparison of 2024 and 2025 data shows values in line, confirming Herculaneum’s role in cultural offerings.
Overall, the 2025 numbers testify to solid and consistent growth, the result of a strategy of communication, promotion and enhancement of heritage and openness to the territory, which continues to produce positive effects in terms of public participation and interest.
