The month of November at the Herculaneum Archaeological Park starts with a doubling of free days, after Sunday, Nov. 2, which is part of the ministerial initiative of #domenicalmuseo, with free opening of state sites on the first Sunday of each month, Tuesday, Nov. 4, free admission is repeated on the occasion of National Unity Day and Armed Forces Day. Reservation for free admission to the Park is not necessary, nor can it be made online; the relevant ticket must be picked up directly at the ticket office.

On Sunday, November 2, you can also take advantage of a free visit to Villa Sora in Torre del Greco, the large and scenic maritime villa in contrada Sora that opened onto the sea with a 150-meter-long front, part of the system of villas d’otium also recorded by Strabo that unfolded along the Gulf of Naples and was inhabited by the wealthiest members of the Roman ruling class. On All Saints’ weekend, Villa Campolieto is regularly open where the exhibition “From Egg to Apples. The Civilization of Food and the Pleasures of the Table” with paid admission; a journey to discover the eating habits of the ancient Herculaneans through an exceptional collection of extraordinarily preserved organic artifacts.

Throughout the winter period, the Park will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (last admission at 3:30 p.m.) with regular admission fees.
