Free guided tours of Villa Sora in Torre del Greco, organized by the Vesuvius Archaeological Group
Sunday, September 6th marks the return of #domenicamuseo, the initiative promoted by the Ministry of Culture that allows free admission to state museums and archaeological sites on the first Sunday of the month. The Ercolano Archaeological Park is also participating in the initiative, offering the public free access to the park and Villa Sora in Torre del Greco.

- Free admission for the whole day
- Reservations are not required and cannot be purchased online. Free admission tickets must be picked up on the day directly at the ticket office.

- The following will be open regularly:
- the Boat Pavilion, which houses exceptional evidence of the profound connection between Herculaneum and the sea, including the military spear found on the ancient beach;
- the Antiquarium, a precious treasure chest of Roman daily life, with its ancient charred wood, remarkably preserved, and the famous Gold of Herculaneum, a symbol of the refinement of the ancient inhabitants.
On Sunday, September 6th, free admission will also be available to Villa Sora, a monumental Roman seaside villa located in the eponymous district of Torre del Greco, one of the most evocative residential complexes in the Vesuvian area. From 10:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., the Vesuvius Archaeological Group will lead enthusiasts and visitors on a free guided tour, exploring the site’s still-preserved spaces.
