Guided tour and shared reading for 10 users of the Multifunctional Center for Disabled People, in collaboration with G. Buonajuto Civic Library and Boetheia ONLUS Cooperative

The Herculaneum Archaeological Park hosted a special visit this morning as part of the ‘May of Books 2026’ project, promoted by the Municipality of Herculaneum with the theme ‘Herculaneum between past and present.’ The initiative is part of the local Reading Pact and involved 10 users from the Multipurpose Center for Disabled Adults, accompanied by 3 operators from the Center and 2 operators from the ‘G. Buonajuto’ Civic Library.

The program included free access to the Park and a shared reading within the archaeological site, followed by a guided tour conducted by the operators of the Center themselves. The event was organized in collaboration with the Social Cooperative Society Boetheia ONLUS and the Civic Library.

The activity is part of a broader perspective of accessibility and inclusion of the Park, aimed at promoting the personal and social autonomy pathways of the Center’s users, with particular reference to the knowledge and enhancement of the territory to which they belong.

«The Archaeological Park of Herculaneum – declares the Director of the Archaeological Park Federica Colaiacomo – deeply believes in the value of culture as a tool for inclusion and collective growth. Initiatives like this remind us that ancient heritage belongs to everyone and must be accessible to all.
