The past has never been so close to the Archaeological Park of Herculaneum which presents VENI, VIDI, HERCVLANEVM – Virtual Reality Experience, A new experimental project that, even before entering the archaeological site, transforms the visit into an immersive journey through time thanks to the use of virtual reality viewers.

Every Monday and Wednesday, from February to early May, visitors can enjoy the experience at no additional cost: simply purchase an entrance ticket and book in advance to wear the headsets; and you’ll be able to take your first virtual steps within the ancient city walls.

This is an innovative, engaging, and accessible initiative that allows visitors to enter ancient Herculaneum in an ideal way, exploring its spaces, reliving its atmosphere and details, and observing environments and architecture reconstructed in 3D as if they were right before their eyes.

Thanks to virtual reality, visitors can better understand the urban organization, buildings, and daily life of the ancient city, with a particularly intense level of emotional and cognitive involvement.
