Upon entering the Park, the app will activate to offer an interactive map that you can use freely or by following one of 5 available routes.
Whether one wants to learn about the daily life of the ancient Herculaneans, rather than relive the great archaeological discoveries or explore the lesser-known aspects of the city, the APP will be a versatile and interactive visitor tool, full of photos and reconstructions.
Contextualized Content
With strategically placed Bluetooth beacons throughout the Herculaneum Archaeological Park, the app provides you with real-time contextualized information and stories. During the visit, your smartphone automatically receives signals that unlock the available content at each point, including texts, photographs, animations, virtual reconstructions, and 3D models.
A Personal Adventure
You can choose a free route and decide independently where to stop during your visit, or you can select one of the five paths available within the app.

The information, videos, reconstructions, and rich photo galleries have been carefully selected from the Park's extensive digital archive to provide updated and engaging content for all visitors.
Accessible Content
All textual content in the app is available in 9 languages and in audio format, to accommodate different visitor preferences and needs.

Visitor privacy is our top priority. The Bluetooth beacons communicate with personal devices only with the user’s consent, without ever tracking their location invasively. The experience is designed to be comfortable, safe, and respectful of the visitor's personal journey.
